ABOUT

Hotel Lanesboro is a 9 room small town hotel located in the heart of Lanesboro, Minnesota. We are excited to bring some fun changes to the hotel over the next couple years. Our mission is to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience in a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

Over 150 Years of History

Hotel Lanesboro has an amazing history we would love to expand on soon and of course is on the National Register of Historic Places! The inn was started in the old Thompson Furniture Store which also had the office of Dr David Powell, friend and business partner of Buffalo Bill. The building was purchased by visionaries, Jack and Nancy Bratrude who converted the building into a turn-of-the-century style hotel, and restaurant, keeping it's Victorian roots from it's original construction date of 1872. Despite the rebrand and name change now as Hotel Lanesboro, we have never forgotten its roots and continue to pay homage to its rich history and many memories.

Us! - The Skelly's

Hello! We are the Skelly's! We have been married for 16 years and loving every minute of it. We don't have children, but love that we can see nieces & nephews and friend's kids all the time. We love a good road trip in our Corvette, 1965 Cadillac, or 1941 Ford pickup ratrod... and who doesn't want to explore everything in every city, right?! We have experienced some great small towns and trips throughout the years and hope to experience many more! We are remodel junkies, just ask all our friends and family. We are on our 3rd top to bottom home remodel (Can't stop, won't stop), finding our own touch on this beautiful limestone hotel, and restoring 100+ year old homes in Sheboygan, WI, our "happy place"...we are always on the go!

Our destination is perfect for couples, groups and individuals seeking the peaceful richness of this quaint town.

Come visit us and see for yourself why Hotel Lanesboro is the perfect choice for your next getaway.
