- 01Welcome to your home away from home, where we prioritize your convenience! Think of us not just as a hotel, but as a self check-in vacation rental where you're free to come and go as you please. No need to worry about coordinating when you arrive and spending the time to check in with staff at a desk. Your room access? It's as simple as the last 4 digits of your phone number! With unique codes for both your front and room doors, you won't have to fret about forgetting complicated combinations. And if you're worried about maneuvering our locks, we've got you covered. We'll send you instructions and pictures before your stay, ensuring a seamless check-in experience.
- 02Dive into the comforting, homely experience of our unique hotel, where we blend the freedom of a vacation rental with the charm of a modest setup. Our smaller scale means you can enjoy a quiet retreat, stocked with all essentials to ensure a hassle-free stay. While we may not provide round-the-clock room service, we have the right amenities to ensure a great experience. But remember, Lanesboro isn't short on options. If you're looking for a full-service hotel or bed and breakfast with on-site owners or room service, the city has plenty to offer. Discover the perfect stay in Lanesboro that suits you best!
- 03Yes! Our building does have central AC. But please read on to the next question for more context on temperature.
- 04We have an amazing, historic 1872 building that has truly stood the test of time! The hotel is equipped with central air conditioning and heat, so the building stays comfortable year-round. However, individual room temperature controls are an unfortunate casualty of its vintage charm. We strive to keep the thermostat set at a comfortable level for all our guests. For those chillier moments, snug up with an extra blanket available in each room. Feeling a bit warm? Each room is also equipped with a tower fan to keep you cool. While we cannot adjust the thermostat based on individual requests, we’ve worked hard to find a balanced temperature that suits most guests. If personal temperature control is important to your stay, we recommend exploring other lodging options in Lanesboro, as there are many!
- 05We do have a 10’x10’ storage shed with a padlock in our backyard you are more than welcome to use! The storage shed is first come first serve, but we do have a bike rack also in our backyard to lock bikes up to (As the shed does not hold 18 bikes). We typically can accommodate most guests' bikes but cannot guarantee a shed spot for anyone. We have a bike rack in the backyard for easy lock up as well. We hope to construct something nicer and more individually divided for the future, but this has worked out just fine for guests thus far! https://static.wixstatic.com/media/96e6eb_1219fcce7dbd477c94073408ea1106cd~mv2.jpeg
- 06Our storage shed is not against our building. We do have power going out to the shed with multiple plug-ins around the sides inside of the shed to plug into. It isn't the "prettiest" set-up, but it has worked just fine for guests!
- 07We require a 2-night minimum stay for weekends, with bookings made together for Friday and Saturday to ensure consistency for our hardworking cleaning staff. They are off on Saturdays, their only day off in a hectic week. However, we might make exceptions if we still have a room available 3 days before your planned stay. In such cases, we can offer a 1-night stay and block the other night to keep our staff's day off undisturbed. We do know there are lodging options in Lanesboro that are only 1 night throughout the week, or options that would offer a 2 night minimum, but could be Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday. You can put your dates in on the Lanesboro website under the Lodging tab and your options should show up for you! Check out: https://www.lanesboro.com/(https://www.lanesboro.com/)
- 08Each one of our 9 rooms is a single King bed. Our 1872 building was constructed into a hotel in the 80’s and although each room is spacious, we do not have any rooms with multiple beds. The occupancy per room is 2 people, no exceptions. Make sure to check out our Policies page for more information, as we do not allow small children, babies and pets as well. There are definitely lodging options in Lanesboro that are family friendly or allow pets! Something for everyone’s vacation needs in Lanesboro!
- 09We are not a “bed and breakfast,” so we do not offer breakfast at the hotel. But we do have awesome recommendations! Home Sweet Home and The Pastry Shoppe are just a short 4 min or less walk on the Main Street and we can’t say enough great things about them! And the Paddle on Coffee has some fun coffee concoctions and breakfast and lunch options as well. All these options will be listed in our Welcome Guide with locations that gets texted to your phone the morning of your stay!
- 10Spaces are usually found at the Visitors Center or up the hill directly across from the hotel (Elmwood), on either side of the street, or the diagonal alley behind the ice cream shop across the street. If it says, 2 hour parking you are allowed to park there overnight while you are a guest at Hotel Lanesboro. There is also a free public parking lot directly over the bridge at the Bass Pond/Municipal parking lot. Feel free to pull up in front of the hotel (Loading zone) to drop off your belongings before parking. We kindly ask that the spots along the main street be left for all the local businesses with customers coming and going. https://static.wixstatic.com/media/96e6eb_f7ad156ec09a4a50922992186f8142b9~mv2.jpg
